About
Silver Club

Our mission, through the Silver Club,
is to combat loneliness across all generations, with special focus on seniors.
Loneliness has a serious impact on the mental and physical health of our senior population. Please see more details below and on our page « Impact and Awareness ».

Silver Club is the building block of our foundation
with which we aim to create connections between
like minded seniors, leading to long lasting and meaningful relationships.
It is the quality of the individual relations that has a significant positive effect on our health and not the amount of social relations.

To care for those who
once cared for us is
one of the highest
honours.

Moreover, we face major challenges globally in a demographic shift, as the pace of population ageing is much faster than in the past:

  • By 2030, 1 in 6 people in the world will be aged 60 years or over. At this time the share of the population aged 60 years and over will increase from 1 billion in 2020 to 1.4 billion.

  • By 2050, the world’s population of people aged 60 years and older will double (2.1 billion).

  • Between 2015 and 2050, the proportion of the world’s population over 60 years will nearly double from 12% to 22%

Thanks!

Through gracious donations from our first supporters, we were able to host several local seniors in Bulle, Switzerland for our first ever Silver Club gathering. This is our initial step towards our goal of fighting against loneliness and social isolation by bringing local communities in Switzerland some much-needed change!
